Purpose

  • The members of the Body of Jesus Christ are enjoined to assemble themselves together for worship, fellowship, counsel, instruction in the Word of God, to hear Jesus and be healed by Him, and for the exercise of those spiritual gifts and offices set forth in the New Testament
  • To have as our highest goal the First and Greatest Commandment: “He said to him:  ‘you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37
  • To commit ourselves to actively love, bless, minister to, disciple, and serve every member in the Body of Christ as a response to the Father’s love: “The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:39
  • To be a habitation of the glory of the Lord.  “… For the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD.” I Kings 8:11 & II Chronicles 5:14 – 6:2
  • To be a people who pray and intercede.  “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations.”  Isaiah 56:7 &  Mark 11:17
  • To promote an individual’s personal relationship with the Lord, their ability to know His voice, and their commitment to follow Him.
  • To pursue the Holy Spirit until the lost are saved through the ministry of reconciliation.
  • To foster spiritual growth and kingdom life.
  • To raise up spiritual fathers and mothers who in turn will raise up future fathers and mothers.
  • To prayerfully and financially support and promote missionary work and to send forth those called to the nations.
  • To promote interchange, understanding, respect, and encouragement with all the many different fellowships of the body of Christ.
  • Although this body is autonomous, we shall actively pursue interdependence with other bodies of like faith, rather than independence from them.   Advice, counsel, fellowship, cooperation, and networking with other assemblies of like faith shall be actively sought out.

Eph 4:16  “…the whole body, being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the Body for the building up of itself in love.”
